Its during moments like this that you wonder if some things in life really are too good to be true.

My type of ballerina :))

It’s kind of funny that I picked this photo to blog before I realized who the dancers were. Sergei Polunin was a child prodigy from Ukraine who was sent to the London Royal Ballet School at the age of 13. At 19 he became the youngest male to become a principal dancer. This season, he was going to be dancing 4 major principals, one was to start next week (he’s now 21). I’m giving you this background because a few days ago he quit the Royal Ballet Co. with no notice or reason why. He’s shocked the Ballet world, at least in England and Ukraine. Speculations as to why are numerous. I just hope that he is okay and if he wants to dance again in the future, he gets that chance. I should tell you that the ballerina here is Lauren Cuthbertson.

“Ballet has been like being married for 30 years, and then for some reason life takes you on different paths, but you still have the memories of the woman you love; that’s me and ballet.” - Carlos Acosta reflects on retirement.
